A common love for beer, travel, shared experiences, the great outdoors, and more beer brought together three partners who conceived Whetstone Beer Co. When doors opened and brewing began in July 2012, the spirit of exploration and discovery through rail travel underpinned the concept behind Whetstone Station. The space was designed to pay homage to the building’s role in Brattleboro’s bustling railroad industry at the confluence of Whetstone Brook and the Connecticut River.
Today, the space holds onsite brewing, café, weekly live music, and two decks offering al fresco drinking and dining with stunning views of the river. And, because the state line separating Vermont and New Hampshire actually runs through a portion of the Station, this is the only place where you can have a beer in both states at the same time.
