Transformed from an 1880's working dairy farm into The Barn Steakhouse in 1972, The Barn has become the area's favorite restaurant. Owners since 1998, Mark and Margaret McChesney have worked with their amazing crew to build on the Barn's inherent beauty and history. The warmth of the massive stone fireplaces is matched by the hues of the wide plank floors, the handmade wooden tables, and the simple, uncluttered beauty of the original post and beam structure. The simple menu draws on local produce, and the finest ingredients from around the country. Hand-cut steaks, fish, chicken - all prepared from scratch - are artfully plated and accompanied by hand-cut fries and sautéed seasonal vegetables. A lovely offering of salads, and house-made desserts, as well as local craft beers and specialty cocktails round out the menu nicely.
