Formerly a historic Vermont governor's mansion, Swift House Inn is a full-service boutique hotel with 20 unique rooms featuring refreshed décor situated on four acres of rolling lawns and mature herbaceous borders in Middlebury. The Inn received the Vermont Hospitality Excellence Award.

Swift House Inn is located near the biking and hiking trails of the Champlain Valley. The entrance to the Trail Around Middlebury is only steps away and connects to the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail. Fly fish numerous rivers and streams throughout the Green Mountains. In the winter, guests can enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing at Rikert Outdoor Center. Middlebury Snow Bowl, Sugarbush, and Killington are all within an hour’s drive.
