The Lodge, Clubhouse, and 19 lake front cottages are the only buildings on 60-acre Forest Lake. The crystal-clear waters and sandy beach of 1,200-acre Big Averill Lake are a 10-minute walk through forest crisscrossed with hiking trails.
Cottages range in size from one to four bedrooms. Many have kitchens and all have full baths, sitting rooms with wood stoves, and porches with rocking chairs overlooking Forest Lake. Complimentary Continental breakfast served daily. Pets welcome at no charge.
Quimby provides a family-friendly atmosphere. The all-inclusive Family Vacation Weeks provide three meals a day, including a Friday lobster cookout on Big Averill, and supervised activities for children and families.
Quimby Country sits amidst some of New England’s most productive and historic fishing waters. The only thing that comes close to the fishing is the abundance of world class big and small game hunting on nearby timberland. Quimby Country is in one of the best areas for grouse and woodcock hunting with enough varied cover for the most ardent upland hunter.
