Welcome to the expanded artistic offerings of Stone Revival Gallery & Gift Shop. M. Julian Isaacson is a self-trained sculptor – specializing in hand carved wood and stone two-dimensional bas reliefs. He has been designing and creating one of a kind personal and commission works for over 40 years.
Born and raised in Vermont, he is of Osage descent on his mother’s side and Jewish descent on his father’s side. Both of Julian’s parents were artists. Isaacson’s pieces combine rural Vermont and Native American themes with classically European mediums and techniques. Julian can often be found working with hammer and chisel at his outdoor marble carving station during the warmer days in Vermont. He works primarily with indigenous Vermont hardwoods during the winter season in his indoor wood carving studio at his location in Stockbridge Vermont.
