Paran Recreations is proud to announce the 10th Annual Stone Skipping Festival!
Can you guess what the world record for stone skipping is? If you guessed 88 skips you would be correct! Join us at Lake Paran on September 16, from 1-6pm to watch world champions throw and to try it for yourself at New England’s only Stone Skipping Festival!
All ages smile from the simple joy of throwing a rock into the water and this is just the quirky, one-of-a-kind event to do it among friends surrounded by the green mountains on a beautiful fall day. Prepare to be amazed as this year, the world record holder for most stone skips, Kurt Steiner, will compete!
There are competitions for everyone:
Young Children/Under 7: Throwing Starts at 1:15pm
Older Kids/7-12: Throwing Starts at 2pm
Amateurs: Throwing Starts at 3pm
Pros: Throwing Starts at 4pm
Target throwing: 5pm
All competitions are for a chance to win fudge and an award!
