A lesser-loved entry in the Lynch canon (its canny marketing wore Siskel and Ebert’s emphatic “Two Thumbs Down” as a badge of honor), Lost Highway is a mesmerizing meditation on the mysterious nature of identity and rage, as well as one of the filmmaker’s most potent cinematic dreamscapes.
