Saxophonist Alex Stewart, founder and director of the UVM Jazz Program, has toured Europe and North America with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra (accompanying guest artists such as Dizzy Gillespie and Dee Dee Bridgewater) and has appeared at major jazz festivals in Nice, Montreal, Biarritz, Saratoga, New York (JVC) and the North Sea.
A staple of City Hall Park in the summertime, BCA’s Summer Concert Series brings 24 free lunchtime concerts with a broad lineup of locally renowned acts to the park.
