Natural history meets art at the Birds of Vermont Museum.
Discover the permanent exhibits of surprisingly lifelike birds carved from wood. They showcase birds from Vermont’s wetlands, forests and fields, including nesting species, year-round residents, and winter visitors. In addition, admire this year’s Community Art Show, Birds and Myth.
Outdoors, wind through 100 acres on nature trails open from sunrise to sundown. Look for bees and butterflies in the pollinator sanctuary, have a picnic in an accessible tree house, stroll with family along the Discovery trail, pause at benches for rest and reflection, or read the book posted in the Story Walk.
The museum shop offers one-of-a-kind items from Vermont artists, how-to-books for carving, story books, field guides, nature-related puzzles and gifts, and bird-friendly coffee. Children can take home ideas for crafts, coloring pages, and more.
The museum also offers classes and workshops, activities for kids, and birding and nature walks. Learn, play, and explore at the Birds of Vermont Museum.
